Selection
Successful candidates will be notified by 28 February 2025. If no feedback is received by this date, applicants should consider their applications unsuccessful.
Bursary recipients will be required to sign a contractual agreement with the municipality, detailing the provisions and conditions of the bursary.
Eligibility Requirements for the Alfred Nzo District Municipality Bursary 2025
Applicants must meet the following minimum criteria:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Reside within the Alfred Nzo jurisdiction area (Eastern Cape).
- Be aged between 16 and 35 years.
- Currently be in Matric (2024) or have completed Matric.
- Plan to study towards a qualification in one of the listed fields in 2025.
- Intend to enroll at a recognized South African tertiary institution.
- Have a strong academic record.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Preference will be given to disadvantaged students.

- Alternatively, collect application forms from:
- ANDM offices
- Local municipalities (Mbizana, Ntabankulu, Umzimvubu, and Matatiele)
- Ward Councilors
- Attach clear copies of the following supporting documents (compulsory):
- Certified copy of ID document
- Certified copy of Matric latest results (if in Matric) or Matric certificate (if completed)
- Certified copy of proof of acceptance to a recognized tertiary institution
- Proof of residence from a Ward Councilor
- Parents’ proof of income (latest payslips if employed, affidavit if unemployed, proof of SASSA grant/pension, or death certificates if applicable)
