About the Bursary
The For Coloured Girls Bursary is dedicated to empowering and supporting young coloured women from disadvantaged communities. This bursary provides financial assistance, mentorship, and guidance, helping recipients achieve academic excellence and personal growth.
The bursary prioritizes girls in Grade 8 to 12 and young women pursuing undergraduate studies, especially those in Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM), and Language fields.

For Coloured Girls Bursary 2025 Eligibility Requirements
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a South African citizen.
- Identify as a coloured female.
- Be entering Grade 8 to 12 or 1st/2nd year of higher education.
- Be from a disadvantaged community.
- Demonstrate a passion for learning and commitment to furthering studies.
- Preference will be given to:
- Students with a minimum overall average of 65% or Level 6 achievement.
- Students pursuing studies in language, STEM fields, or scarce skills.

- Certified copy of their latest academic results.
- A motivational essay that covers:
- The benefits you expect from the programme.
- How you plan to use the skills and knowledge gained to advance your career.
- Why the course is relevant or interesting to you.
